Exercise 5B β€” Pattern Recognition.

  1. Do the four movable signs share a dhātu-triplicity, or are they spread across all four groups? What about the four fixed signs?
  2. Every KrΕ«ra+male sign β€” is it always a specific modal type, or mixed? Note what you find without forcing a pattern that isn't there.

  1. Each modal group (movable/fixed/dual) contains exactly one sign from each of the four dhātu-triplicities β€” e.g., the movable signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) are respectively bilious, phlegmatic, tridhatu, and windy β€” one of each. This holds for the fixed and dual groups too. Not a coincidence β€” it reflects the classical structure where each of the 4 elements/triplicities contributes exactly one sign to each of the 3 modal categories.
  2. The KrΕ«ra+male signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius) span all three modal types β€” 2 movable (Aries, Libra), 2 fixed (Leo, Aquarius), 2 dual (Gemini, Sagittarius). The sign benefic/malefic classification is independent of the modal classification, not correlated with it.
