Reference Center

Every permanent reference document in one place, organized by what you'd reach for it for — not alphabetically. For daily lesson-by-lesson links, use Study Hub instead; for browsing built lessons, use Course Navigator.

Before you read a chart

The documents to open first, every time, before applying anything to a real chart:

  • Field Manual — distilled practical knowledge, updated after every completed module. Not a copy of verses or a lesson summary; each entry has its source module, BPHS chapter/verse, why it matters practically, and cross-references.
  • Master Chart Analysis Procedure — the repeatable, source-cited chart-judgment toolkit, built gradually as the course reaches each topic. Still pre-procedure (Foundational Toolkit items only) until S2-M21.
  • Semester 1 Foundations Handbook — compressed, cross-referenced form of everything Semester 1 established; its Quick Cross-Reference Index (§10) is built for fast lookup during a real chart read.
  • Sanskrit Glossary — every Sanskrit term taught so far, alphabetical, with source and lesson.

What the course actually contains

  • Chapter Inventory — all 100 BPHS chapters, verified against each volume's own table of contents. Includes the Build Progress Ledger (bottom of the file) — the authoritative "what's built, what's next" state.
  • Course Syllabus — the 3-semester module plan, how the 100 chapters map onto it, and why (deviations from print order explained).
  • This course's source-citation standards — what the source files actually contain and the citation/pagination rules used everywhere else in this vault. Worth reviewing first if anything about a citation looks unfamiliar.

Planning and pacing

  • Course Timeline — week-by-week calendar, from the scheduled 2026-07-20 start.
  • Your personal progress tracker — mastery status per lesson, hand-updated only after real review. Also holds the Deferred Chart Clinics Register.

Reflection and error correction (yours, not graded)

  • Your personal Research Journal — your own reflection log, one entry per lesson. Never written on your behalf.
  • This course's internal decision log — genuine textual ambiguities and methodology decisions this course has had to make, with reasoning for each. 9 entries as of Semester 1's close, all Status: Open.
  • Your personal mistake log — recurring-mistake record, checked at the start of every module and before each semester review.

Semester 1 closeout documents

Read before starting Semester 2 (see the Completion Report's own recommendations):

  • Completion Report — full accounting of what Semester 1 built.
  • Quality Audit — the verification pass run before closeout (file existence, verse-continuity, cross-reference checks).
  • Retrospective — self-assessment prompts to work through honestly before Semester 2.
  • Foundations Handbook — (also listed above under "before you read a chart")
