No fixed answer beyond what the text supports — self-check that your response traces Venus's dual Kendra+Trikona lordship for these two specific ascendants back to the v.13 single-planet Yoga Karaka pattern from Lesson 1, and notes that most other ascendants don't give Venus that exact dual lordship.
U2. Does not contradict — self-check that your response distinguishes lordship-based auspiciousness (a general tendency) from placement/dignity-based modification (how that tendency plays out in a specific chart); Trikona lordship remains generally favorable, but house placement and affliction (here, conjunction with a debilitated Saturn in a Trishadaya house) can still produce serious difficulty, exactly as Lesson 1's framework predicts.
U3. Jupiter rules the 8th house (the strongest/most significant Parashraya house — the "destroyer of the 9th" by default) and the 11th house (the strongest Trishadaya house) for Taurus Ascendant — both are the strongest house of their respective inauspicious-leaning tier, compounding to make Jupiter the most inauspicious planet for this ascendant.

Venus's Yoga Karaka status for Virgo Ascendant comes from her relationship with Mercury (Venus as 9th/Trikona lord relating to Mercury as 10th/Kendra lord and Ascendant lord — the v.11–12 relationship-based Yoga Karaka pattern, not the v.13 single-planet pattern). Separately, Venus's 2nd-house lordship (a Maraka/killing house, governed by the "association" rule) gives her killing potential specifically when she is placed in a malefic-afflicted house — the two mechanisms (relational Yoga Karaka status, and placement-dependent killing potential) operate independently and can both be true of the same planet.
