Module Chart Clinic: Module 3 — Zodiacal Signs Described

1. Learning Purpose

Module 3 shifts the lens from planets (Module 2) to signs: the Kalapurusha frame and sign classification systems (L1), the twelve signs individually described (L2), and Nisheka Lagna — conception timing (L3, optional/deferred Chart Clinic by design). This capstone integrates L1–L2's sign-level knowledge against your own Ascendant and Moon sign, the two signs every later technique returns to most often.

2. Concepts Being Tested

  • Movable/fixed/dual classification and its practical use (L1, Ch. 4 v.1–5).
  • The Kalapurusha (cosmic man) correspondence — which body part each sign maps to (L1).
  • Individual sign descriptions — nature, body type, temperament (L2, Ch. 4 v.6–24).
  • Not tested here: Nisheka Lagna's conception-timing calculation (L3) — its own Chart Clinic is separately optional/deferred, and conception data is rarely independently verifiable; this capstone doesn't require it.

3. Guided Analysis Sequence

  1. Classify your Ascendant sign. Movable, fixed, or dual? What Kalapurusha body part does it correspond to?
  2. Classify your Moon sign the same way.
  3. Describe both signs using L2's individual sign descriptions (nature, temperament, body type).
  4. Test against life history. Pick whichever of the two (Ascendant or Moon sign) you have a clearer, more specific life-history association with. Does BPHS's stated description for that sign match what you already know about yourself?

4. Questions

  • Cite the exact verse for each classification and description you use.
  • Movable/fixed/dual classification will resurface constantly (Navamamsha construction, Varga starting-point rules, later yoga conditions) — write one sentence predicting how today's classification might matter again once you reach the Sixteen Vargas lesson (Module 5, still ahead of you). You'll be able to check this prediction once you get there.

5. Expected Reasoning

Full seven-step Chart Clinic chain on your chosen sign (Ascendant or Moon), same structure as every per-lesson Chart Clinic in this module.

7. Reflection / Error-Check

  • Did the sign description match your self-knowledge more, less, or about as well as Module 2's planet-level descriptions did?
  • Note explicitly whether you found yourself reading the description generously (fitting it to what you already believe about yourself) — this is worth catching early, since the whole Chart Clinic method depends on testing claims honestly rather than confirming them.
  • Record your entry in your personal Research Journal.
